Following the success of Hacia la Gran Muralla and Beti iparralderantz, Jon Arretxe is back with his latest work: Trumoiaren alaba. In this adventure novel set on the island of Sumatra, a teenage girl, Batari, and her little brother, Kusuma, are left alone in the world after a natural disaster strike. They set off on a long journey together around the island in search of a relative willing to take them in. In this story full of surprises and magic, the two main characters have multiple adventures and encounter many perils, but they also find friends who help them achieve their goal. The situation of women, the destruction of nature, the influence of tourism, religious rivalry, child trafficking and the activities of the Mafia are just some of the issues explored. The book also gives readers rare insight into this little-known corner of the world.
