Gogoan dut / Me acuerdo

Gogoan dut

Synopsis

Somos memoria.

We are memory. Without memories we would be nothing. Whoever remembers lives, has a home and a present, is a human. Remembering is among the healthiest exercises ever, though it might hurt at times. “Gogoan dut” is, indeed, an exercise of memory, personal, intimate, not hiding anything. In the Joe Brainard’s or Georges Perec manner, the writer shapes his biography through passages, fragments, direct hits, uncomfortable at times, emotional at others, often hilarious. And, in the end, souvenir after souvenir, what was a personal exercise becomes the portrait of an era, of a geography, of a whole generation.
