La teoría de Zygmunt Bauman sobre la modernidad líquida es solo un pretexto que utiliza Nerea Arrien para ambientar las historias de Jende likidoa, su primera colección de cuentos. La autora nos sumerge en ese mundo que ella ha creado, con la presencia del agua como fondo, para presentarnos su particular «fauna acuática posmoderna». Los personajes, muy variopintos, se mueven en el día a día entre vacilaciones, como si una fuerza les llevara de un lado a otro, sin tener, por completo, el control de sus vidas. Buscan su sitio en esta sociedad, intentan adaptarse a ella. La fragilidad e inestabilidad se dan de bruces con la realidad.

Zygmunt Bauman’s theory about liquid modernity is just a pretext used by Nerea Arrien to set the stories of Jende Likidoa (Liquid people), her first collection of short stories. The author immerses us in the world that she has created, with as a background, to introduce us to her particular “postmodern aquatic fauna”. The characters, very diverse, move daily between hesitations, as if a force were taking them from one place to another, without having completely the control of their own lifes. They are looking for their place in this society, they try to adapt to it. Fragility and instability come face to face with reality.
