JSetting out from an idea by Jon Maya, KLERA brings together different artistic languages in one notebook. Literature, illustration, music and dance are its forms of expression and, by putting these forms together in a notebook-style publication, it invites us to think about the consequences of war on the basis of the poetic nature of art.
The texts by Leire Bilbao and illustrations by June San Sebastian are accompanied by music by Maite Larburu and the choreography of Kukai Dantza. Dance and music appear in the notebook in the form of a QR code. Because KLERA is an interdisciplinary project that seeks to be a call to end war and live together, using different artistic visions.

Elkar publishing house was founded in 1975, with the aim of promoting Basque culture. Since then it has been very active as both a publisher and a record label, promoting the literary and musical works of writers and musi- cians and, at the same time, helping to fill gaps in and fulfil the needs of our culture. Thanks to the work carried out in these years, Elkar’s catalogue cur- rently holds more than 2,500 works.
